Dr. Itschak Lamensdorf, Ph.D.
CEO
Dr. Lamensdorf was formerly the CEO and Founder of PharmaSense Ltd., a biotechnological company that specialized in the treatment of central nervous system disorders. Dr. Lamensdorf conducted postdoctoral research in the US at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, within the National Institutes of Health (NIH), in Bethesda, Maryland, as well as in Israel at the Weizmann Institute of Science’s Molecular Genetics Department. He earned his Ph.D. in Pharmacology at the Faculty of Medicine of the Technion – Israel’s Institute of Technology, in Haifa, after earning his B.A. and M.Sc. in Clinical Pharmacy at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

Dr. Marian Gorecki, Ph.D.
Chairman
Dr. Gorecki, a 30-year veteran of the biotechnology industry, was formerly the Chief Technical Officer, Co-Founder and Managing Director of Bio-Technology General, as well as co-founder and CEO of Mediwound Ltd, both of which are located in Israel. He earned his Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the Weizmann Institute of Science, where he later served as a Senior Scientist and Associate Professor. Previously, Dr. Gorecki was a Research Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. At present, Dr. Gorecki serves as the Director of Scigen and Prolor, and as a consultant to Clal Biotech Industries.
Prof. Abd al-Roof Higazi, M.D.
Chief Scientist and Founder
Prof. Higazi heads the Clinical Biochemistry Department at Hadassah University Hospital in Jerusalem, and has a full professorship in the Hebrew University’s School of Medicine. Prof. Higazi did a Post-Doctoral research fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania’s Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine, where he holds an ongoing Research Associate Professorship. Prof. Higazi earned his M.D. at the School of Medicine in the University of Barcelona, and did his residency in Clinical Biochemistry at the Hadassah University Hospital in Jerusalem.
Dr. Abraham Nimrod, Ph.D.
VP of Toxicology and Preclinical Development
Dr. Nimrod formerly headed the Preclinical Department at Bio-Technology General. Prior to that, Dr. Nimrod served as the Director of Toxicology at Pharmos Corp. Both companies are located in Israel. He earned his Ph. D. at the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel.
Dr. Ronen Leker, M.D.
Clinical Development
Dr. Leker heads the Clinical Stroke Service and the Cerebrovascular Disease Research Laboratory at the Hebrew University’s Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem, and is also serving as the acting Senior Staff Neurologist at Hadassah. Dr. Leker has been actively involved in clinical and basic stroke research for the last fifteen years both at Hadassah and at the US National Institutes of Neurological Disorders and Stroke – National Institute of Health (NINDS-NIH) in Bethesda, Maryland, where he served as a staff scientist at the Molecular Biology Laboratory and worked on the use of neural stem cells as a novel therapy for stroke.
